APPLICATION
PROCESS
Applications are accepted and test is given on the first Wednesday of June and December, (unless circumstances warrant the test be given more often and it is approved by the committee), at the Plumbers & Steamfitters Local #62’s Training Center. All test dates will be advertised on Craigslist Monterey.
Applications are accepted starting at 8:15 am through 8:45 (no applications accepted after 8:45 am) and test begins at 9:00 am.

Minimum Age:
All Applicants must be at least 16 years old at time of application.
Education and Photo ID/Proof of age requirements: At time of application, and before you are able to take the test each applicant must present a valid photo ID and high school diploma or GED. If GED is provided, score must be 35 or above on all subjects and an average score of 45 required. Bring High School Diploma/GED and photo ID with you at time of application. (Copies can be made at our office.)
At the oral interview the applicant will be required to provide a valid California driver’s license and a DMV report showing a satisfactory driving record. Applicant’s with two (2) or more traffic violations and/or at fault accidents within the past (3) years or one (1) or more serious traffic convictions (as determined by committee) within the past (3) years will not be accepted.

Applicant must also demonstrate the ability to read, write and speak English in order to comprehend instruction in related training classes and on the job training and to ensure safety on the job.
Drug Screening: Drug test will be given prior to or within the first week upon employment. Plumbers and Steamfitters Local #62 will pay for test.
